Hazel says: I've been to a lot of beaches and pretty places in the world, but nothing, seriously nothing, is like Bora Bora. It isn't a real place. It's a Hollywood special effect that is projected onto some large canvas you can't see.The lagoon itself is an unimaginable palette of blue, sapphire and turquoise A coral-based island in a circle sits around a mountain rising out of a central turquiose lagoon.

The home of ice hockey, lumberjacks, beavers, Mounties and maple syrup, right? Well, yes – but that’s just scratching the surface of Canada. In reality, it’s one of the world’s most awe-inspiring countries, a mixture of raw beauty and more complex, unexpected places to visit including desert, temperate rainforest and lush orchards. Add the Rockies’ glittering lakes and majestic peaks, spectacular fjord-slashed coastlines and the rippling prairie expanse with all the sky for a ceiling.

What I love most about Vietnam is the food - From hawkers with cauldrons of soup dangling from shoulder poles, to pushcarts, market stalls and makeshift “street kitchens”, Vietnam’s street-food scene is unsurpassed. All you need is a bit of judicious selection – look for places with a fast turnover, where the ingredients are obviously fresh. Tet, the Vietnamese New Year, is the pinnacle of the street-food calendar, when vendors go into overdrive as everyone snacks to their hearts’ content

With a legendary setting looking across Lake Wakatipu to the craggy heights of The Remarkables range, Queenstown fills many roles. It has become New Zealand’s adventure capital, offering the chance to indulge in just about every adrenaline-fuelled activity imaginable. Bungy jumping, jetboating, rafting, skydiving, mountain biking, paragliding and many more activities have been honed into well-packaged, forcefully marketed products. But you don’t need to do any of that.

There are loads of reasons to visit Argentina, but my favourite is the great metropolis of Buenos Aires, one of the most fascinating of all Latin American capitals. It’s an immensely enjoyable place just to wander about, people-watching, shopping or simply soaking up the unique atmosphere. Its many barrios, or neighbourhoods, are startlingly different – some are decadently old-fashioned, others thrustingly modern – but all of them ooze character.

Turkey was a mesmerizing experience. More than the “bridge between East and West” of tourist-brochure cliché, the country combines influences from the Middle East and the Mediterranean, the Balkans and central Asia. Mosques coexist with churches, Roman theatres and temples crumble not far from ancient Hittite cities and dervish ceremonies or gypsy festivals are as much a part of the social landscape as classical music concerts or avidly attended football matches.

Vietnam's striking landscape was most impressive, the north and south of the country fantails out into the splendid deltas of the Red River and the Mekong, and it’s in these regions that you’ll encounter the paddy fields, dragonflies, buffaloes and conical-hatted farmers that constitute the classic image of Vietnam.

Occupying the southern side of Sorrento’s peninsula, the Amalfi Coast (Costiera Amalfitana) lays claim to being Europe’s most beautiful stretch of coast, its corniche road winding around the towering cliffs that slip almost sheer into the sea. By car or bus it’s an incredible ride (though it can get mighty congested in summer), with some of the most spectacular stretches between Salerno and Amalfi. The Amalfi coast is a mixture of history and nature, with a lot to discover: the Cathedral of Ama

Stockholm is a stylish archipelago city that you can easily explore by bicycle or foot . Popular spot is Östermalms Saluhall for the fabulous seafood. Vasa Museet is a must, the 17th-century Swedish warship sadly sank on her maiden voyage with all hands on board, but now sits, 95% intact, in a purpose-built museum. My favourite is Frantzén/Lindeberg -two Michelin stars , this bite-sized eatery has become a lab of artisanal perfection and at the very forefront of modern Swedish gastronomy

New York City is one of the most exciting cities in the world.Manhattan, a labyrinth of streets lined with iconic buildings and landmarks including the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and Central Park. You'll never be short on food options in this city, with everything from fine dining to street vendors ready to indulge your taste buds with modern and traditional fare. The shopping in NYC is some of the best in the world - from flea markets to Fifth Avenue boutiques

Safari experience of a lifetime at the world-renowned 65000 hectare Sabi Sand Wildtuin in the South-Western section of the Kruger National Park home to spectacular wildlife including the Big 5 - lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant There is nothing quite as stirring as the sight of a lion, elephant or rhino roaming free in the bush; as haunting as the sound of a hyaena laughing in the dead of night; as electrifying as the tension one feels when following spoor along a dry riverbed.

After living here for a year, Paris deserves its reputation as the most romantic city in the world. Its centre is small and ideal for visiting on foot, with every turn revealing a famous landmark, a cosy café, a smart boutique or a busy boulevard. Why we love Paris - It is also the home of great food and boasts a plethora of restaurants from traditional bistros to smart, trendy restaurants and Michelin-starred establishments.

We LOVED Santorini. Locals believe the island is the site of the lost city of Atlantis and, whether that is true or not, it is certainly near to paradise with towns perching on the edge of the extinct volcano, white marble streets and glorious sunsets. Oia on the north coast for the most sophisticated hotels and fashionable nightlife, and make sure you visit the capital of Fira, but be warned: the designer stores and bars can get very busy

Barcelona the capital of Catalonia, has a first rate beach and a shopping that rivals New York, not to mention a medieval Gothic quarter that may be the most fascinating in Europe. Lets not forget he mind-blowing Modernista architecture of the iconic Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí dots it like jewels and of course the best tapas bars in the world.

Dubai is a unique destination- a tourist paradise offering shopping, fine dining, lively nightlife and luxury hotels. From souk to shopping mall, Dubai has it all - duty free, gold, electronics, textiles, cars - and is a true shopper’s paradise. Perfect for the shop-o-holics and for retail therapy!
